Where to Stay in the Novigrad Sea? Your Accommodation Options

So, you want to stay in the area of Novigrad Sea, Dalmatia in Croatia for your next vacation.

The area is scattered with picturesque cities and villages, dreamy beaches and breathtaking views. For many, this has been a calming and quiet area where they go to recharge during holidays.

Whether you spend your holidays in Novigrad, Posedarje, Vinjerac, Pridraga, Paljuv, Briševo, Poličnik or Murvica, you need a place to stay.

Most tourists book their accommodation early — or at least a couple of months in advance.

But what are your options, exactly?

Hotels

If you’re staying in one of the towns of the area like Posedarje, you can stay in a hotel.

Most of the hotels built there are three-star and small family-run hotels.

For example, Posedarje has a hotel built on the coast that is a short walk down the street until you reach the beach.

Another option is a complex of apartments located on the shore of Novigrad itself.

Private Accommodation

If you need more privacy, a place of your own while you’re on holiday, you have two options — to either book an apartment or a private villa.

The majority of the accommodations you can book in the Novigrad Sea region fall under the “private apartments” category. Many locals in Dalmatia rent apartments to tourists over the summer season.

Want something close to the beach or in the heart of the picturesque rural area? Fancy a villa with a private pool or one that allows animals? You have plenty of private options to choose from.

Luxury villas are available in rural areas far from the hustle and bustle of the city or at the heart of the cities that overlook the sea.

Camping Sites

In the area of the Novigrad Sea, you can stay at four camping sites.

One is 300 metres near the centre of the Novigrad, overlooking the sea. It’s close to restaurants, souvenir shops, grocery stores or any facilities that you might need while camping.

Posedarje is home to two camps that provide a lot of shade and place for campers. One of them is run by a couple and it’s not far away from the sea.

There’s also a smaller camp on the Zadar Riviera that offers plenty of shade near the coast for campers.

Couch Surfing

Are you looking for an alternative accommodation for your stay in Croatia? One route that is less travelled when it comes to accommodation is couch surfing.

Find hosts in the Novigrad Sea area.

Couch surfing is for you if you want to get to know the locals. If you stay in private accommodation or even a hotel, you might not have as much of an opportunity to get to know the people. Others that stay there will probably be tourists too.

This might be your unique opportunity to get to know the area through locals who know it as the palm of their hand. It’s an excellent opportunity to practise your Croatian too.

Any great host will let you know of all the best and least-known corners of the area and where to try local delicacies.

You may even meet your new lifelong friends.

Important Note; Book the Right Part of Croatia

When booking your accommodation in the Novigrad Sea area, triple-check if you’ve chosen the right area.

In Croatia, Novigrad refers to two towns that go by the same name — a town in Istria and one here in Dalmatia.

Here, we talk about Dalmatia and the area of the Novigrad Sea that gathers multiple charming seasides and rural places — including the picturesque seaside town covered in stone known as Novigrad.

Choose What’s Best For You

The place where you stay while vacationing is more than a temporary roof over your head.

The kind of accommodation you choose for your next holiday in Croatia will affect your stay and even the way you perceive the area. You’ll have an entirely different experience staying in the campsite, hotel or your private villa.

What you choose will depend on your budget, means of transportation and whether you rest best when you spend the vacation all by yourself or as a part of the community.

We’re looking forward to seeing you here.
